Travel to the 2014 NSC: Silver Line Metro is closed

Since it’s clear that the Silver Line will not open in time for the tournament, here’s a list of ways to get to the hotel.

By shuttle (Coming from Dulles International Airport):

The Hyatt Regency Reston has a free shuttle bus which runs to and from the hotel. PACE strongly recommends that teams flying into Dulles take this shuttle to the tournament site. Follow signs to “Ground Transportation” or ask the nearest travel desk where hotel shuttles depart from.

By public transportation (subway to bus):

(Teams flying into Reagan National Airport should take the Yellow or Blue lines north to L’Enfant Plaza, and then take the Orange Line to the West Falls Church Metro station.)

-Take the Fairfax Connector Route 505 bus from the West Falls Church Metro Station to Reston Town Center; departs every half-hour

Teams which intend to take public transportation should pay attention to the weekday timetable for the 505 bus, available at http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/connector/pdf/505wd.pdf, and the different weekend timetable, available at http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/connector/pdf/505we.pdf. Teams should also be aware that the Metro rail system can be subject to unpredicted and unexpected delays (checking http://wmata.org). If your team must take public transporation, we recommend budgeting in at least one hour of flexibility into your travel schedule, so as to ensure arriving on time.
