Congratulations to the Maggie Lena Walker Governor's School for Government and International Studies A (14-1), who defeated Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet High School (14-1) 580-225 in the championship finals to win the 2007 PACE National Scholastics Championship on June 9-10, 2007. Dorman High School (11-3) and Thomas Jefferson A (12-2) were the semifinalists with Dorman edging out Stuyvesant (10-3) for one of the final four places in the championship semifinals. In the consolation bracket, Detroit Catholic Central defeated Maggie Walker Governor's School B in the finals with St. Andrew's Episcopal and Brindlee Mountain B as semifinalists. PACE appreciates the efforts of all 36 teams who participated in this year's event as well as all of the staff from various regions of the country who came together to make this national championship possible. Full scores and results from both the preliminary rounds on Saturday and the playoff rounds on Sunday are now available. Scores and statistics from the consolation bracket will soon be available. |
