2002 NSC Results


At George Washington University, Richard Montgomery made the most of its first appearance ever at the PACE NSC, putting together a perfect 12-0 record and clipping Detroit Catholic Central (10-3) in a 300-290 championship final.


Following a tiebreaker round among Detroit Catholic Central, Detroit Country Day (9-3), and State College A (9-2), the eventual finalists made short work of their semifinal opponents with Detroit Catholic Central cruising 440-185 over Eleanor Roosevelt (10-2) and Richard Montgomery surpassing Detroit Country Day 450-295.

Consolation Bracket:

Solon (7-5) was unable to defend its consolation bracket title from 2001, falling 335-190 to the Maggie Lena Walker Governor’s School for Government and International Studies B (6-5) in the consolation finals. In the semifinals, Solon earned a 320-205 win over Walter Williams (7-4) while St. Anne’s-Belfield (6-5) was tripped up 210-180 by the eventual consolation bracket champions.
